Kainchi Dham, the ashram of Neem Karoli Baba, is 7 km from The Raikwal's, about 21 minutes by road. Most of our guests come to Bhowali for darshan. We're close enough for an early start and quiet enough to rest afterwards.

Neem Karoli Baba founded the ashram at Kainchi in the 1960s. It sits where the road from Bhowali follows the Shipra river through a narrow valley, and it draws devotees from across India and around the world. The foundation day on 15 June brings the biggest crowds of the year.
A darshan day from the hotel
A simple plan most of our Kainchi guests follow. Ask the front desk to arrange a taxi.
Before you go
- Arrive the day before and check in from 1 PM, so you can leave early the next morning.
- Ask for an early breakfast, or take tea before you leave and eat when you're back.
- Bhowali's bus and taxi stand is 500 metres from the hotel, and the front desk can book a car for you.
- Around 15 June, the foundation-day fair brings very large crowds, so book your room well ahead.

The restaurant is pure vegetarian. It cooks North Indian and Chinese food and is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and high tea. Eat in the bright, glass-fronted hall, or order to your room.

- The full amount is paid in advance at the time of booking.
- Check-in is from 1 PM and check-out is by 10 AM. Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability, and you pay the day charge.
- A booking is confirmed once rooms are available and the advance is received.
- All terms, including rates, can change without notice.
- Bring an identity card to check in: Voter ID, driving licence or Aadhaar. PAN cards are not accepted.
Cancellation
- Cancel or change a booking free of charge up to 30 days before check-in.
- Cancel or change it 15 to 30 days before check-in and you pay for one night, pro rata.
- No refunds for cancellations within 15 days of check-in, for no-shows, or for early check-out.
- Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability and carry the applicable charge.
